dogs of Iowa

'Discovery Dogs' Sioux City, Iowa

Seaman, the discovery dog was mascot and companion to Lewis and Clark over 200 years ago. In 2004 discovery dogs were the focus for Sioux City's community art event.

bears of Pennsylvania

'A Beary Good Place' Clarion County, Pennsylvania

Dozens of bears sighted around Clarion County are actually 'working bears' and are doing their job quite well. They are the tourism ambassadors for this Northwestern Pennsylvania County.

horses of New York

'Horses, Saratoga Style' Saratoga Springs, New York

This summer of 2007 community art project was a continuation of the very successful 2002 campaign. Artists from the Capital Region, Northwest New York, Vermont and New Hampshire made up the creative pool.

This 2001 event gave sponsors a choice as to where their donated money went. Sponsors could also designate the percentage of money between charities.

dogs of Pennsylvania

'Art Unleashed' Haverford, Pennsylvania

This 2002 public art campaign featured fifty-four dog sculptures. Proceeds totaled $325,000 for the Main Line Art Center in Haverford

camels of UAE
'Camel Caravan' Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The latest installment in this on-going public art event featured over 70 artists from over 30 countries. The 'Camel Caravan' has raised over 5 million Dirhams for local charities.

horses of Vermont

'A Horse Affair' Manchester, Vermont

21 life-size thoroughbreds were embellished by area artists to help promote tourism while enhancing the 'arts' in the Manchester community.

dogs of North Carolina
'Dogny' American Kennel Club Raleigh, North Carolina

100 life-sized german shepard dogs were created to honor and raise money for the many volunteer and other canine rescue dog and handler teams that were called upon by the September 11th tragedy.

'Horse of a Different Color' Akron, Ohio

This well run 2005 public art campaign sold all sponsorships very quickly. The event raised funds for the C.A.R.E. and NICU units of the Akron Children's Hospital.

grizzlies of Wyoming

'A Gathering of Grizzlies' Cody, Wyoming

This 2008 summer event featured 25, five foot tall grizzlies embellished by 27 regional artists. The artists' themes were derived from popular culture, traditional western art and Indain folk art.
